Before Care

Before Care Procedures

In order to achieve optimal results, it is best to follow the before and after care procedures. Prior to your procedure, clients are advised of the following instructions:

  • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 72 hours prior to your procedure.
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine the evening before and morning of your procedure
  • No tanning the week of your procedure so your natural skin tone may be properly assessed.
  • No facial scrubs, peels, botox, microderm abrasion, or other facial services for two weeks prior to your procedure.
  • For brow procedures, please lightly exfoliate the brow area 1-2 times per week beginning two weeks prior to the procedure and stopping 3 days prior to procedure. Follow each exfoliation with a good moisturizer. This will help to prepare your skin for the best possible outcome.
  • No exercising the day of the procedure.
  • No waxing or tinting the brows one week prior to the procedure.
  • Cannot be currently using eyelash growth serums or wearing false eyelashes if having an eyeliner procedure.
  • If receiving an eyeliner procedure come wearing glasses, or be prepared to remove contacts prior to starting procedure.
  • You may come in to your appointment with your brow/eye make up on if you wish. This will give the artist an idea of how you wear your makeup everyday.
  • If you have an up coming event or vacation, it is wise to schedule your appointment at least two weeks before your your event or vacation is planned.

After Care

After Care Procedures

In order to achieve optimal results, it is best to follow the before and after care procedures. After your procedure, clients are advised of the following instructions:

  • DAY OF THE PROCEDURE: After the procedure, gently blot the area with clean tissue if you notice oozing. This is to absorb any excess lymph fluid. Do this until the oozing has stopped. Removing the fluids will prevent the hardening of the lymphatic fluids.

  • DAY 1-7: WASHING : Starting the day after the procedure, gently wash daily to remove bacteria and the build of product and dead skin (this will NOT remove pigment unless you scrub too hard). Wash using water and an antibacterial soap like Dial, Cetaphil, or Neutrogena. Use a very light touch to gently wipe over your eyebrows. Rinse to ensure all the soap has been removed. Pat dry with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products that contain acids (glycolic, lactic, etc.) or exfoliants.

  • DAY 1-7: MOISTURIZE: Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. DO NOT over apply the ointment. This will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process. NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo. The area should be allowed time to dry before applying ointment.

  • Do not pick or attempt to remove exfoliating skin from brows. This can cause scarring or removed pigment.

  • DO NOT allow brows to get overly wet, NO SWIMMING for 30 days.

  • DO NOT receive Botox, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or any other facial services for FOUR WEEKS.

  • DO NOT wax, tweeze, tint, or shave brows for TWO WEEKS.

  • DO NOT sleep on your face for TWO WEEKS.

  • Sleep on a fresh pillow.

  • DO NOT suntan or allow direct sunlight exposure to brows.

  • DO NOT apply cosmetic products on or around brows for TWO WEEKS.

  • AVOID heavy sweating for the first 10 days after service. (NO EXERCISING)

  • For eyeliner procedures:

  1. No contacts for 10 days.
  2. Get new mascara

  • SHOWERING: Limit showers to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam. Keep face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body. Wash hair at the end of the shower. Avoid saturating the treated area with hot water.
